What impact will the conversion have on my loan terms?
There will be no change to the terms of your original loan contract. Santander Consumer USA will service your loan, which will offer you some new service offerings that may provide more convenience to you. Your account will retain the same due date that you had when it was serviced by Sovereign Bank.

Will I receive a new account number?
Yes, you will receive a new account number as part of the conversion. Your new account number will be mailed to you prior June 2.

How can I make my regular monthly payment?
If you currently make your payment via automatic payment, your monthly payment deduction will continue without interruption. If you currently pay using coupons, Santander Consumer USA will mail you a monthly statement and coupon, along with instructions for mailing your payment. You may also still make payments at any Sovereign Bank Office. You will need to bring either your old Sovereign payment coupon or your new Santander Consumer USA statement with you when you go to make your payment.

How can I make an expedited payment?
Expedited payments can be made via telephone, online via our customer service portal, MoneyGram or Western Union. Our Web site provides details about expedited payments (and associated fees).

Can I still pay at a Sovereign Bank Office?
Yes, your payment will be accepted at any Sovereign Bank location. You will need to bring either your old Sovereign payment coupon or your new Santander Consumer USA statement with you when you go to make your payment.

I just sent a payment and it is in transit to Sovereign. Is there anything I need to do?
Your payment will be credited to your account without interruption. Sovereign Bank and Santander Consumer USA are working together to process all payments made during the transition.

Make Your Payment

In addition, Santander Consumer offers a variety of payment options for making your monthly payment, including: Pay Online, Pay by Phone, Auto Pay (ACH), Pay by Mail (regular or overnight mail), MoneyGram and Western Union.
Beginning June 2, you may register with our secure Account Management Portal and service your account online. You will need a valid e-mail address and your Social Security number to enroll.
